Second Look Consignment

What is Consignment?

Consignment is a business arrangement where a seller (the consignor) gives items to a retailer or third party (the consignee - Second Look Boutique) to sell on their behalf. The consignor retains ownership of the items until they are sold, at which point the consignee takes a commission or fee from the sale. If the items don’t sell within an agreed timeframe, they are donated to a local women’s shelter on your behalf (unless otherwise noted - please see our terms and conditions in our consignment agreement). Consignment is beneficial for community members because the consignor earns money without having to sell the items themselves, which can often be a tedious process without seasoned experience.

Why Second Look Consignment?

Giving your treasures a new home is something we take immense pride in (read more about our sustainability mission). We currently have over 500K followers on our online shop page, and ship items around the country. We have a deep understanding of trends and styles, brands of all levels, and how to receive the maximum payout for a consignor. Our owner Sarah handles each item carefully and is very serious about increasing our carbon footprint through the recycling and upcycling of our treasures.

How Do We Start?

Our in-store consignment appointments begin in February, and you can begin booking those now below. Please refer to our consignment packet prior to arriving for your appointment - this outlines our entire process and brands we do/do not accept (yes we also accept mens and high-end children’s!). Appointments are reserved in 15-minute time blocks (feel free to shop around the store while you wait - we will have coffee and water available while you wait and a seating area with public restroom).

Once you arrive for your appointment, there will be a mutual consignment agreement the boutique and the consignor both sign to ensure transparency in our process. You will be emailed a copy prior to you leaving the shop that day that outlines our full consignment terms and conditions.
